Q

What are the 2 types of leukocytes?

A

Phagocytes
- Destroy with phagocytosis
- Granular cytoplasm
- Lobed nucleus
- Can differentiate into neutrophils or monocytes (mature into macrophages)
Lymphocytes
- Smaller than phagocytes
- Large round nucleus
- Kills intruders directly by producing antibodies
- Can differentiate into T or B cells
