A

Exercise- progressive resistance training increases strength, aerobic treatment increases endurance

What is the target physical activity level for older people?

A

The same as younger adults: 150 minutes a weel or moderate intensity in bouts of 10 minutes or more.

What is the definition of rehabilitation?

A

“An active process by which those disabled by injury / disease achieve a full recovery, or if a full recovery is not possible, realise their optimal physical, mental and social potential and are integrated into their most appropriate environment. Rehabilitation is goal orientated and involves a mixture of clinical, therapeutic, social and environmental interventions.”
