What is sarcopenia?
Age related loss of muscle mass and function

When does muscle mass tend to start to decrease in sarcopenia?
About 30years old

What is sarcopenia obesity?
Loss of muscle mass and increased fat

Cardiometabolic disorders

How much exercise is recommended per week?
150 mins moderate per week
75 mins vigorous per week
30 mins brisk walking 5 times a week
Strength and balance 2 times a week

What is rehabilitation?
Interactive process enabling individual to maximise their potential to live a full and active life where appropriate
What is reablement?
Process of an individual regaining the skills, confidence and independence to enable them to do things for themselves
What is habilitation?
Process of assisting an individual with achieving developmental skills when impairments have caused delay or blocking of initial acquisition of these skills
