Transit Pass
Issued by Controller to any person on arrival in SG who satisfies him that he desires to enter SG for the purpose of passing through SG to a destination outside SG and that he is in possession of valid documents that will permit him to enter the country of his destination.
Entitle holder to enter and remain in SG not exceeding one month as may be stated in the pass except that Controller might extend the period
Special Pass
Issued to a person for the purpose in order to afford an opportunity of making enquiry for the purpose of determining whether that person is entitled to an entry permit or whether person is a PI
Afford a reasonable opportunity of prosecuting an appeal against any decision of the Controller and for any special reason
Landing Pass
Issued by the Controller to any through passenger travelling in, or any member of the crew of, any vessel, aircraft or train on arrival in any port, authorized airport or authorized train checkpoint.
Authorize holder to enter SG and remain for such period as may be stated in the pass except that Controller may extend the validity
Holder shall not, without a valid work pass issued under EFMA, engage in any form of paid employment or business, profession or occupation in SG
Student’s Pass
Person has been accepted as a student by a recognized university or an educational institution
In possession of a certificate issued by Minister that is desirable that he should be accepted as a student at a specified educational institution
Holder shall not, without a valid work pass issued under EFMA, engage in any form of paid employment or business, profession or occupation in SG
Work pass is not required for a foreign student who is 14 years old and above, on vacation, full-time matriculated or registered student in approved schools or institutions approved by MOM, works a maximum of 16 hours/week

NUS, NTU, SMU, SIM, INSEAD Student’s Pass: $60
Student pass may be cancelled if:
a. Person fails within a reasonable time to enter a recognized university or approved educational institution
b. Having entered such university or educational but fail to remain or cease as a student
Dependent Pass
Issued to spouse or dependent child of holder of a work pass issued under EFMA to enable them to accompany and remain with holder of work pass in SG
Person under 21 years old for purpose of adoption
Holder shall not, without a valid work pass issued under EFMA, engage in any form of paid employment or business, profession or occupation in SG
Dependent’s Pass: $30 for a year
