Crew
Every seaman on a vessel and every person employed in the operation of
aircraft or a train
Entry
Person arriving by sea, disembarking in SG from vessel in which he arrives, arriving by air at an authorized airport, leaving precincts of such airport, person entering by land and proceeding to an immigration control post under S26 or authorized train checkpoint under S25A, leaving the precincts of such post or checkpoint, birth of child in SG on or after 15 Jan 2005
Employ
To engage or use the service of any person, whether under a contract of service or otherwise, with or without remuneration
Harbour
To give food/shelter, assisting person to evade apprehension
Immigration depot
Any place designated by Controller for examination,
inspection and detention of persons
Immigration offender
Person who acted in contravention of Section 6(1), 15 or 36
Leave
Leaving SG by embarking on a vessel (sea), boarding an aircraft (air), boarding/remaining in vehicle/train (land)
Master
To have control and charge of a vessel or driver of train or captain of an aircraft
Occupier
In relation to any premises or place, includes the person having the charge, management or control of either the whole or part of the premises or place, either on his own account or as an agent and a contractor who is carrying out building operations or construction works at the premises or place on behalf of some other person.
Passenger
Any person carried in vessel, aircraft, and train other than members of crew
Personal identification
Fingerprints/handprints (paper/ink/digital), Photograph or image of person’s face and shoulders, signature, image/measurement of external part of person or voice
Permit
an entry and a re-entry permit
Seaman
Master/any person carried in vessel as bona fide staff member employed in service of vessel
Stowaway
Person secreted in vessel/aircraft/train without consent of master or any other person in charge. Includes person arriving/departing from SG on board any vessel/aircraft/train without consent of master etc.
Through passenger
Any passenger who arrives in SG by vessel/aircraft/train and who is continuing journey in the same mode to place outside of SG
Unberthed passenger
Ship’s passenger for whom no accommodation in any cabinet is reserved
Vehicle
Any vehicle mechanically propelled/otherwise
Vessel
Any ship or boat or other description of floating craft used in navigation, and includes any tackle, equipment, book, document, goods, cargo or things carried by it
Aircraft
Any kind of craft used in the conveyance of persons or goods by air
Bottle
Any container for intoxicating liquor capable of being sealed or corked
Customs control
Goods deposited or held in any FTZ, Govt warehouse, licensed warehouse or bottling warehouse or post office or in any vessel, train, vehicle or aircraft or any place from which they may not be removed except with permission of proper officer of customs
Customs duty
Duty on goods imported into Singapore, excluding excise duty
Customs territory
Singapore and its territorial waters, excluding any free trade zone
