-Europe was overcrowded and farmland & industrial jobs weren’t available for everyone

A

British foreigners bc they were English speaking and shared the same culture

-The government defied anyone who was not Britan-foreign
-during WW1, anti German attitudes were prominent and directed at immigrants
-Canada’s “ideal” immigrants were people from Britain or British colonies
