Same sequence as for partial dentures
Examination and assessment – teeth to be removed are assessed clinically and radiographically if required.
Impressions – accurate , fully extended - use alginate in stock trays
Occlusion – index teeth may be present
Design – always simple acrylic plate
Second Impressions – special trays
Try-in – limited to those teeth already missing
Check extensions ,occlusion , shade.
Extractions and finish – care with extractions and insertion of denture Check denture before extractions!!!!

Remove dentures - examine mouth for healthy clots. Identify any areas of inflammation - ease denture.

After 24hrs – advise warm saline mouthwash and pt. to remove denture after mealtimes, to rinse mouth and clean denture – soft toothbr
