PP must be valid for at least 6months in order to apply for a visa.
6 month club that is about to expire they honor it. You can have have a expired PP and a stamped on it but as long as u have a valid PP.
D-232 DOS Department of State. NIV are on here if not on passport. This happens when an alien is exempt from a PP, there’s no more space on PP. PP with no formal diplomatic relations with the U.S.
NIV are mainly valid for 10yrs. Can be issued for 1 entry called single entry visa or multiple. Or at a specific POE. NIV are usually issued at consulate or US Embassies.
Some NIV can be issued in the U.S. A C-2 C-3 G or NATO. The aliens already lawfully present in the U.S.

Visa application is DS-160 online form filled out on computer. Need this things to fill out document. PP, travel plans, if applicable last 5 trips. College proof financial stability. Submitted in English. Someone can do it for them. Parents can complete form for kids under 16
Photo 2*2 inches taken within the last 6 months.
Students F J M must also fill out DS-158
