SFT Reseat Pelvis Supine ASIS Pubic Rami Medial Malleoli Reseat Pelvis Prone Medial Malleoli PSIS IT
SFT
o Fingers at inferior aspect of PSIS
o Eye level with dominant eye centered (crouch)
o More cephlad side is +
ASIS
• Thumbs horizontally under ASIS
o Is +SFT side superior or inferior
o Is +SFT side medial or lateral
Pubic Rami
• Two fingers on each side of Pubic rami
o Is +SFT side superior or inferior
• Can slide along superior aspect of it and feel for stair-steps
Medial Malleoli
• Thumbs on inferior aspect of medial malleoli
o Is +SFT side superior or inferior
Prone is more accurate
Reseat Pelvis Prone
o Feet just off edge of table
o Bend knees and lift legs passive, slow, carefully
PSIS
• Thumbs horizontally on inferior aspects of PSIS
o Is +SFT side superior or inferior
IT
• Have pt indicate the bones they sit on
o Push palms into glutes to compress and locate ischial tuberosity
o Is +SFT side superior or inferior
o More indicative of innominate shear
