IEP (individualized eduction plan)

provisions made in how student accesses learning; do not substantially change instructional level, provide equal access to learning; provide student equal opportunity to demonstrate what is known; based on individual strengths and needs; may vary intensity+degree
ex: assitive technology, environment change, extra time, frequent breaks
IEP team members
teachers (general+special), nurse, parent/guardian, chairperson, related services (SLP, PT, OT), guidance counselor, BCBA, doctor, paraprofessional, student, school administration, school psychologist
required components of an IEP
parent/student concerns; student strengths, key evaluation, summary; vision statement; PLEP; current performance levels; service delivery; nonparticipation justification; schedule modification, transportation; state/district assessment, additional information, response section
