consent to do something by choice because of positive reward (schools, media, church)
Counter-Hegemony
resistance to hegemony (the norm)
Give an example of absorbing Counter Hegemony
Queer eye for the straight guy (gays in service to the white male)
Will and Grace (homosexuality –> heterosexuality)
