Identifying Heart Rhythms Flashcards
What are the characteristics of sinus rhythms?
Generated by the SA node
P waves all have same shape
QRS complex is narrow and normal
Non-lethal
What are the characteristics of NSR?
What are the characteristics of sinus bradycardia?
What are the characteristics of sinus tachycardia?
What are the characteristics of sinus arrhythmia?
What are the characteristics of sinus arrest?
What are the characteristics of sinoatrial exit block?
What are the characteristics of Sick Sinus Syndrome?
What are the characteristics of premature atrial complexes?
What are the characteristics of focal atrial tachycardia?
What are the characteristics of Wandering Atrial Pacemaker?
Multifocal atrial tachycardia
Atrial Flutter
Atrial Fibrillation
What are the characteristics of junctional rhythms?
Junctional rhythms are initiated within or near the AV node. Impulses travel upward causing backward or retrograde atrial depolarization. P waves may be absent, and those that are present will be inverted in Lead II, Lead III, and aVF and appear before, after, or during the QRS. The PR interval will be shortened if measurable.
