Body Functions
physiological and psychological functions of body systems eg. moving a limb or thinking about what to eat after class
Impairments
problem with body structure or function eg. nausea, stiffness
Activity
execution of a task or action by an individual
Participation
involvement in a life situation
Environmental Factors
physical, social and cultural environment in which people live and conduct their lives ; ranging from macro to micro levels (eg. medication, mobility devices, family and support, social and healthcare policies)
Personal Factors
physiological, psychological and other characteristics that combine to influence how an individual experiences a health condition (eg. age, gender, education, belief system, trust)
Why is the ICF important?
allows health care practitioners and society to view capability rather than disability.

Key Components of CCP (5)

- therapist and client have different goals

Social Determinants of Health
- conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work and age
