Primary effects
The flooding as a result of the lightening storms and heavy rainfall.

Secondary effects :
Improved soils as they become more fertile .
Climate cools as a result of the ash cloud which blocks sunlight.
Due to the conditions being too unsafe to fly planes in , CO2 émissions go down.
Under ice eruption means vast quantities of ice is melted resulting in large floods otherwise known as jokulhaups.
Secondary economic impacts :
400 tonnes of flowers are destroyed as they cannot be flown out to be sold. This leads to job losses.
Weather conditions cause a loss of £1.7bn for airlines alone .
Airports suffered a further loss.
