> 3 days of hard stools that are painful/difficult to pass

Rome IV criteria:
- Recurrent abdominal pain at least 1 day/week in the last three months a/w 2 or more of the following:
a) related to defecation
b) a/w a change in stool frequency
c) a/w a change in stool form
25% of bowel movements have to be constipation of diarrhea
