Pseudo-dramatist who seeks to exert artistic control by imagining all as ‘actors’ in a play.

“play the god” (about Desdemona to her husband)
Views those around them to be agents of the stage. Implies an open acknowledgement of the stagedness of the play. Makes Iago ironically the most honest character of the play.
