Statistics
This division of statistics describe the features of a dataset.
Descriptive statistics
This term refers to measurements that look at the typical central values within a dataset.
Central tendency
This division of statistics focus on making generalizations about a larger population based on a representative sample of that population (Hillier, 2021)
Inferential statistics
A complete set group of individuals from which a sample is drawn for a study. This is not limited to people, as it could also refer to cities, nation or group of individuals with common characteristics.
