Q

What does Chief say about his “white brothers” ability to love? Why is this so important to him?

A

What Chief says about his “white brothers” ability to love is that he wonders if they love at all, and if they love anyone or anything beyond themselves. This is important to him because he says we must have love because our spirits need it and that it will destroy us. (If you do not love, you are the lowest of the animals)
