  • Sympathomimetic inotropes and vasoconstrictors.
  • Should be treated in intensive care settings.

Vasoconstrictor sympathomimetics

A
  • Noradrenaline/norepinephrine
  • Phenylephrine

Phenylephrine has a longer duration of action than
noradrenaline - excessive vasopressor response
may cause a prolonged rise in blood pressure
