What is good sleep hygiene?
- Go to bed and get up at the same time each day.
- Avoid caffeine and alcohol in the evening.
- Avoid daytime naps.
- If you cannot sleep, get up and occupy yourself until you can.
What are the commonly used Z-drugs?
Zopiclone, Zolpidem, Zaleplon.
How long after oral administration are peak plasma concentrations of benzodiazepines seen?
After 1 hour.
How highly protein bound are the benzodiazepines?
80-95%.
What are the side effects of the benzodiazepines?
Sedation, fatigue, poor concentration, confusion, respiratory depression.
How long does it take for tolerance to the sedative effects of benzodiazepines?

What drug can be used to reverse the effects of the benzodiazepines?
Flumazenil.
