A

In order: tall ‘tented’ T waves; increased PR interval; small or absent P wave; widened QRS complex

When do you treat hyperkalaemia?

A

Treat K+ >6.5mmol/L or any with ECG changes

What is treatment for hyperkalaemia?

A

1) 10mL of 10% calcium chloride IV over 5 mins - cardioprotective
2) IV insulin (10U) in 25g glucose (50mL of 50% or 125mL of 20% glucose) over 30-60 mins
3) Salbutamol 10-20mg via nebuliser
4) RRT
