B= runoff
C= infilteration
D= ground water
E= evaporation
F= condensation
G= transpiration
2
Q
Explain each of the processes within the water cycle (evaporation, condensation, precipitation, transpiration)
Hydrosphere
A
- Evaporation: Water on the Earth’s surface absorbs heat from the sun and transforms into water vapor, rising into the atmosphere.
- Condensation: Water vapor in the atmosphere cools and condenses around particles like dust, forming clouds.
- Precipitation: When clouds become heavy with condensed water droplets, gravity pulls them down to the Earth’s surface.
- Transpiration: Plants absorb water from the soil through their roots and release it into the air as water vapor through their leaves.
3
Q
What is Transpiration
Hydrosphere
A
Transpiration: Plants absorb water from the soil through their roots and release it into the air as water vapor through their leaves.
