how does hydraulic pressure affect rudder boost?
A
it unlocks the springs for the assymetric assist - but isn’t involved in it directly other than to move a bar to release the springs (or recapture them)

what is purpose of the priority valve?
A
prioritizes the rest of the system but not the gear (saves for brakes, spoiler / speed brakes, pusher and rudder booster)
*in case of multiple subsystem failures
