Hydraulics Flashcards
Describe the hydraulic system
Two engine driven, variable flow 3000 psi pumps located on the accessory gearbox provide required hydraulic power to operate components. – An accumulator provides additional flow when required. – Two fire shut off valves activated by the fire shut off switch is isolate the hydraulic fluid from an engine fire situation. – A pressure transducer sends system pressure to the hydraulics Synoptics page. – Two temperature switches to warn of high fluid temperature condition
Describe how to check the hydraulic fluid quantity
Shut down engines and dump parking brake accumulator with wheels chocked
Describe what affect an engine failure will have on the hydraulic system
None. The remaining pump can support the entire system
Describe the function of the priority valve
Restricts flow to landing gear in the case of multiple subsystem actuations
List the hydraulic components of a phenom 300
Landing gear - multifunction spoiler - main brake - stick pusher - emergency/parking brakes – spring loaded rudder boost
Describe the function of the hydraulic system accumulator
Cylindrical separated-piston supplies additional flow demand
During simultaneous brake application and ground spoiler actuation
OR
During pressure transients where the engine driven pumps capacity is exceeded
Describe win the fire shut off valve will close
Switch to close, fire shut off button is pressed, both fire shut off valves will close in the high temp condition
