What components comprise the AFCS?
FD, Emergency Descent Mode, AP, AFCS Vertical Mode, YD and turn coordinator, AFCS lateral modes, Ventral Rudder Control
Default lateral and vertical mode for the AFCS?
Roll and Pitch mode
What occurs when the TOGA button is pressed?
Flight plan cycles to missed approach, AP disconnects, FD commands ROL and GA pitch, CDI changes source to FMS
Criteria for selected altitude capture mode to activate after pushing the TOGA buttons.
Must be 400 ft below the altitude selected.
What will disengage the AP?
AP button, Quick Disconnect, TOGA, MAN trim, fault or failure, Input on the control wheel or rudder pedals
What is the Emergency Descent Mode?
Descends AC. Armed when higher than 25000 ft with AP engaged.
Activated when CAB HI ALT warning CAS is displayed.
