Hydraulic System Flashcards
How many hydraulic systems do we have?
3
What pumps are EDP’s and which ones are electrical?
1a & 2a are EDP
1b, 2b, 3a, 3b are all electric pumps (ACMP)
Where are the EDP’s located?
On the accessory gear box
What is the normal operating pressure of the hydraulic systems?
3,000 psi +/- 200
What position should pump 3b be in, in order to be powered when the ADG deploys?
Any position
During flight, with hydraulic switches in the AUTO position, what conditions are required for hydraulic pump 1b and 2b to operate?
Respective bus is powered
Any generator online
Flaps out of 0 degrees
What is the normal hydraulic reservoir quantity displayed on the Synoptic page?
45%-85%
What you loose hydraulic system 3 what brakes do you loose?
Inboard brakes
Which of the three hydraulic systems provides control of all primary flight controls?
System 3 only
When does the pressure relief valve open? resets?
3,600 psi and resets at 3,200 psi
How are hydraulic systems 1 & 2 cooled on the ground? and in the air?
on the ground by an electric fan
in the air by ram air
What bus are pumps 3a & 1B wired too?
AC BUS 2
What bus are 3b & 2b wired too?
AC BUS 1
Are the the HYD SOV shut off valves electric or hydraulic?
Electric; they close when commanded to or when the engine fire push is pressed
How much break pressure does the brake accumulator provide?
750 psi; or about 6 applications of brakes
