lumbar supine “OB roll”
pt supine w/ both hands behind neck, doc on opposite side, caudad hand on ASIS, cephalad hand through pt’s arm
lumbar type 1 lateral recumbent
PTP up, pull pts bottom arm anteriorly and superiorly, flex hips and knees until motion felt, pt straightens bottom leg and places top food in leg’s popliteal space, cephalad arm goes through patient’s arm and caudad forearm along line b/w PSIS and greater trochanter, push shoulder posterior and roll pelvis anterior
lumbar extended type 2 lateral recumbent
PTP up, caudad hand monitoring spinous process, pull bottom arm anteriorly and inferiorly, flex hips and knees until motion felt, slightly bend bottom leg w/ superior leg crossed over, caudad forearm rolls pelvis anteriorly, cephalad arm pushes pts shoulder backwards
lumbar flexed type 2 lateral recumbent
PTP up, caudad hand monitoring spinous process, pull bottom arm anteriorly and inferiorly, flex hips and knees until motion felt, pt straightens bottom leg and places top foot in popliteal space, caudad forearm rolls pelvis anteriorly, cephalad arm pushes pts shoulder backwards
