What are the five levels of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs (in order)?
Physiological (air, food, drink, sex, sleep), Safety, Love/Belonging, Esteem, Self-actualization (seeking growth).
What did Maslow call the first four levels of the hierarchy?
Deficiency needs (must be met for a person to thrive).
What traits did Maslow observe in self-actualized people?
Concern for others, acceptance, creativity, compassion, humor, close friendships, enjoying work.
What are the strengths of humanistic psychology?
