Next security and safety then love then belongingnexs
Person is a le to progress through Hierarchy once current needs are met

Ppl have innate desire to achieve their full potential
Personal growth is an essential part of being human

Selfworth develops in childhood - from parent child interactions
How we view ourselves determines our psychological health
Closer we are to our ideal self greater or feelings of self worth and psycho.ogical health
Congruence
Similarity between a person’s ideal self and how they perceived them selves
Ppl employ defence mechanisms to feel less threatened by inconsistencies between how they want to be and how they are
Conditions of worth
Other ppl hinder our process to self actualisation
Positive regard:
Unconditional- when u are accepted for who u are
Conditional- when u are accepted if u do what others want u to do
Leads to conditions of worth on.y feel sense of self acceptance when conditions are met
Psychological problems are a direct result of conditions of worth
