Humanistic psychology is an approach that emphasises the study of the whole person and sees people as being active in their own development. It is a person-centred approach, which views every individual as unique and regards to personal growth and fulfilment in life as basic human motive

What is the hierarchy of needs?

A

Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is a theory of human motivation. The needs are presented in a five-level sequence, where you have to meet the basic needs to reach the higher psychological needs. The last stage is self-actualisation and the first stage is physiological.
