Critique of spatial science:
A
- by 1960s - growing sense that geography as a spatial science was no longer fit for purpose.
- too abstract and detached from complexities and realties of the real world
- reductive and one-dimensional
- failed in the objective it had set itself
- appeared irrelevant - didn’t have anything to say about important issues, e.g., inequality and injustice.
