Latin and Greek texts of the earlier Christian gospels, to begin a new era of universal agreement through more direct knowledge
Why did Humanists draw their ideas published texts and what didn’t they rely on?
Didn’t rely on religious beliefs passed on through oral tradition because they aimed to purify the ideas of religion from errors developed through translation
What did they believe in the Catholic faith?
Believed the basic principles, especially free will
What were Humanists criticising about the Church?
Challenged the practices of the Church, not the beliefs, they definitely didn’t want to split the Church
