Economic Indicators Measuring Development
Gross domestic product - the total value of goods produced and services provided in a country during one year.
Gross National Product - The total value of goods produced and services provided by a country during one year, equal to the gross domestic product plus net income from foreign investments.
What is per capita

Social Indicators Measuring Development
Life expectancy - the average age to which a person lives
Adult literacy - the percentage of adults who can read and write
Infant mortality - counts the number of babies, per 1000 live births, who die under the age of one
Poverty rates - the percentage of people whose income and living conditions lie below a specific amount – this may vary between countries
Access to basic services and health care - the ease of which people have access to emergency services such as hospitals
Human Development Index
It is expressed as a decimal between 0 and 1.
Gross National Happiness
global indicator of progress, which measures both sustainable economy and social development, while protecting the environment and culture
