Recognition and Equality before the Law. (Recognition of everyone being equal before the Law in it’s protection)

Right to Life (The right of everyone to live and not to have their life taken arbitrarily.)

Protection from torture, cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment.

Freedom from forced work (A person must not be forced to work or be a slave)

Freedom of Movement (A person can stay or leave or move around freely and live where they choose in Victoria given they are here lawfully)

Right to privacy and reputation (A person’s privacy, family, home or personal information/correspondence cannot be arbitrarily or unlawfully interfered with)

Freedom of thought, conscience, religion and belief (A person has the right to think and believe what they want, in private, in public, in a group or alone)

Freedom of expression (A person is free to say what they think and to find, receive and share information and ideas)

The right to assembly and freedom of association (A person has the right to form or join groups or unions and to meet peacefully)

Protection of families and children (Families are entitled to protection. Children have the right to protection of their best interests, without discrimination)

Your right to take part in public life (run for public office ie. Council).

Cultural right (the right to enjoy your culture, declare and practice religion).

Property rights (People are protected from having their property seized unlawfully).
Section 21?
Right to liberty and security of person (a person has the right not to be arrested or detained arbitrarily or unlawfully).
Section 22?
Humane treatment when deprived of liberty (a prisoner must be treated with respect, dignity and humanity).
