Malala – human rights campaigner who fought for girls education in Pakistan
Dignity of life – Christianity
Believe the declaration of human rights reflect main principles of Christianity
RC - all human life made in God‘s image so don’t agree with death penalty or euthanasia
COE- all humans are made and image of God so have god like qualities”god created man in his own image”
Agape in action – agape is unconditional love, at foundation of all Christian teachings, guides Christians work (Christian aid)
Dignity of life – Islam
Quran teachers that people are equal and should stand up against injustice
Should treat others how they want to be treated “a soul for a soul”
Ummah in action - all support each other to create a just society – Islamic belief, helps people
“ whoever says one it’s as if they’ve saved mankind” shows Bond of ummah
Censorship
Censorship – people are free to express their views about any religion unless the content is likely to incite violence or discrimination against its followers

Same censorship – so what want as long as doesn’t intentionally cause offence

Expression – Through clothes, sharing faith (evengelise) “ Guard your modesty” (M)

Prejudice is prejudging
Discrimination is putting that prejudice into an action
Prejudice and discrimination – Christianity
All life made by God so we are all equal
“ neither Jew nor Gentile slave nor free male nor female for we are all one in Christ Jesus”
Prejudice and discrimination – Islam
Believe everyone is different but equal
Allah created all so discrimination is wrong
All wear white cloth when buried, shows equality
“ all equal as the teeth of a comb”
Discrimination – Islamophobia, visit my mosque, people speak out to educate people
Racism – Christianity
Promotes equality across all races
CARJ– Catholic Association for racial justice – 6 to value respect and celebrate the equality and dignity of all gods prayer
MLK – fought so people would not be discriminated because of there race
Racism – Islam
Muslims descendants of Adam, meant to be diverse
Adam made from seven different handfuls of soil, all different colours
Muhammed showed equality when he chose former black slave to be first muezzin
Wealth – Christianity
Christian aid – helps those in need regardless of religion/ethnicity, educates people about cause of poverty
Judged by their actions and not by their wealth- “ money is the root of all evil” Lazarus and the rich man
Wealth – Islam
Zakat - 2.5% wealth to charity, all wealth is a gift from Allah – have duty to use it to help others, Judged how they use it on the day of judgement
“ do not shut your money bags”
Islamic relief – seeks to help all people by upholding Islamic principles, helps people in poverty provides healthcare and education
