How are women’s rights linked with security?
Their involvement in political relations leads to more peace and protective laws. War/militarization disproportionately affects women.
Why do states enforce human rights?
They must think protecting hr is in their interests or they must be coerced to do so. The consequences of not abiding by hr outweighs the good.
