what makes an employee eligible for leave?
-worked at least 12 months
-at least 1250 hours over 12 months
-work at a location where company employs 50 or more employees within 75 miles
what is the FMLA benefit length
12 workeweeks of leave in a 12 month period
progressive discipline
-someone not doing a good job gets multiple warnings and eventually fired and then they are not eligible for unemployment

-workers who earn 2500 in yearly wages will be eligible for paid family + medical leave
-elgibile after working job 180 days
-employer cant prevent employee from taking leave or penalize/fire
