Where may debriefings be conducted?
Anywhere that provides:
- ample space
- privacy
- freedom from distractions

Peers wil be automatic for the following incident types:
- Death or serious injury of a child
- Death or serious injury to a MFES member
- Death or serious injury to civilian or member of another agency as a consequence of MFES actions
- Any incident charged with profound emotion

List incidents that are considered as critical or traumatic:
- Serious injury or death of a FF in the line of duty
- Events that seriously threaten a FF’s life
- Suicide or untimely death of a FF
- Serious injury or death of a civilian resulting from MFES operations
- Personal identification with the victim or the circumstances
- Death of a child or violence to child
- Mass casualties
- Death of a patient following extraordinary and prolonged expenditure of physical and emotional energy during rescue efforts
- Incidents that attract excessive media coverage
- Any incident charged with profound emotion

There are 2 exceptions to the rule of confidentiality that peer members must make clients aware of, what are they?
- Information on child abuse
2. If the person presents an imminent perceived threat to self or others.
