Egg and sperm fuse to form a single cell

Division of the zygote occurs and it grows. Attaches to the lining of the uterus ( implantation)
Foetus
After 8 weeks looks like a human
Implantation
Occurs when the fertilised egg lodges itself on the lining of the uterus
Ovulation
The release of an egg from an ovary on day 14 of the monthly cycle
Puberty
When hormones cause changes in the body to make it sexually mature
Menstruation
The shedding of the lining of the uterus
Fertile period
The time in the menstrual cycle when pregnancy is most likely to occur.
