What is scrotum, what does it bear and why is it present outside the abdominal cavity ?

A

Scrotum is a pouch like structure which bear a pair of testes and is present outside of the abdominal cavity. The scrotum helps in the formation of sperm (spermatogenesis) and for the formation of sperm it is necessary to have 2 to 2.5 degree less than the actual internal body temperature.
