A mixture of liquid and sperm cells

The penis through a tube called a urethra
What are female sex cells called?
Egg cells
When does an egg get released?
Once every 28 days
Where do eggs go down?
The Fallopian tube by cilia (hairs)
Where does the baby grow?
In the uterus
What is the uterus like?
It has strong muscular walls with a soft lining
What holds the baby in place during the pregnancy?
The cervix
Where does the cervix open into?
The vagina

25°C
What is puberty?
When a child’s body matures into an adult body controlled by sex hormones
What are the stages of sexual reproduction?
Sexual intercourse - fertilisation - implantation - pregnancy - birth
What is implantation?
The zygote burrows into the lining of the uterus.
How long does pregnancy last typically?
38 weeks
What is birth?
The baby being pushed out the uterus through strong muscle contractions
