Men and women should have different roles because in the bible it suggests that women have less authority than men

Rings - symbol of marriage and acts as a physical reminder of their commitment throughout their lives

Remarriage after divorce?
✅Some Christians believe divorced people should remarry because once a person is divorced they have no longer got any tie to their former partner so nothing’s stopping them making another commitment
❌ other Christians believe that a divorce doesn’t separate a couple. They are still together in gods eyes. Therefore if they remarry, the new marriage isn’t valid and they are cheating on their first marriage with the new partner
Homosexuality for and against?
✅ -same sex relationships can be stable, loving and committed
- there are few references in the bible about homosexuality and lesbianism
-all people are equal in gods eyes ‘love thy neighbour’
❌ -‘no man is to have relations with another man’
-it is against the natural purpose of humans to reproduce
-the physical act itself is unnatural
-the story of sodom
SOME SAY GAY IS OK AS LONG AS THERE IS NO SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP
For same sex relationships
Stable loving and committed
they are natural feelings in the world so how can they be wrong
There are few defences in the bible about gays and lesbos

It’s against the natural purpose of humans to reproduce

What do people believe about sex before marriage
Bible teaches that your body is a temple- ‘do not commit adultery’
Roman Catholics are opposed to sex before marriage, sex is a gift from God to allow us to populate the earth
Some part of The Church of England believe that you should only have sex in marriage however some believe that cohabitation can show the same commitment as marriage
Contraception views
Some Christians agree with contraception, family life quality is more important that quantity, it’s ok if it doesn’t allow conception to take place, however if it’s the morning after pill then some would see it as an early abortion
Catholics believe contraception goes against human nature, main reason for sex is to reproduce- natural laws (aquinas) it it goes against the full purpose then it’s wrong
