Q

How has climate change affected human migration?

A
  • In the ice age more water was frozen in glaciers and ice caps so sea levels were lower. This allowed humans to walk between places that are separated by water today, e.g. From Africa to Asia
  • Low sea levels around 25,000 years ago meant that humans could walk from Siberia in Asia across into North America
  • At the end of the ice-age humans migrated north as the land became inhabitable
