MOT - faecal oral route
→ bacteria enters the small intestine by consuming food or water contaminated with bacteria and then migrates to other organs via blood.

Symptoms and signs
→ sustained high fever ( 39°C to 40°C )
→ weakness
→ stomach pain
→ constipation
→ headache
→ loss of appetite
→ Insevere cases- intestinal perforation and death may occur.

O classic case in medicine - typhoid marry
→ cook by profession → carrier of typhoid bacteria
→ continued to spread infection for years through the food the cook.
