What is the origin of the bicep brachii?
scapular
What is the insertion of the biceps brachii?
Radial tuberosity (proximal radius)
What is the movement of the bicep brachii?
shoulder = flexion, elbow = flexion and radioulnar joint = supination
What is the origin of the tricep brachii?
scapular and humerus
What is the insertion of the tricep brachii?
olecranon process of the ulna (proximal portion of the ulna)
What is the movement of the triceps brachii?
shoulder = extension, elbow= extension
What is the origin of the deltoid?
scapular and calvical
what is the insertion of the deltoid?
deltoid tuberosity (shaft/middle of humerus)
What is the movement of the deltoid?
shoulder: flexion anterior fibres, extension posterior fibres and abduction of lateral fibres
iliopsoas (iliacus + psoas major) insertion?

quadriceps femoris origin?
Rectus femoris = ilium, vastus medialis, intermedius and lateralis = femur
quadriceps femoris insertion?
tibial tuberosity
quadriceps femoris movement?
Hip = flexion (rectus femoris only) and knee = extension
Hamstring Origin?
ischium ( + femur for bicep femoris)
hamstring movement?
hip = extension and knee flexion + rotation (fixed)
tibialis anterior origin?

tibialis anterior insertion?
tarsals (foot bones)
tibialis anterior movement?
Ankle = dorsiflexion
triceps surae (gastrocnemius and soleus) origin?
condyles of femur (gastrocnemius) and tibia and fibula (soleus)
triceps surae (gastrocnemius and soleus) insertion?
calcaneus via calcanea/achilles tendon
What are the four muscles in the quadriceps femoris?
