gender differences to consider with HTN

A

In men, HTN is more common before age of 55, women it is more common AFTER age of 55
Men are MORE LIKELY to suffer a MI than a stroke, women are MORE LIKELY to suffer a STROKE than MI (think oral contraceptives, menopause would increase risk for stroke, men don’t have to worry ab these things)
