explain the Right to free speech
an implied right in the Aus constitution, 2 main elements: Freedom of opinion (communicate one’s opinion and ideas without fear of government censorship) and expression (express one’s opinions in any medium - recognised in the ICCPR)
explain the right to protest
it is the right to protest and peaceful assemby, any rally or demonstration held in a public space - a protest must be authorised by local government and relevent authorities must be mafe known of the intention to hold a protest and official approvel to do so

exprain freedom from discrimination
in Qld the primary law that protects your right to freedom form discrimination is the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 which encomases all forms and of discrimination
explain the right to democratic representation
representation is where the people elect parlamentary representatives to represent their beliefs, attiudes and perspectives in parliament - this right allows eligable citizens to elect (compusolry) a representation to parliament
expain freedom of religion

provided under section 166 of the constitution - expressed right. Prohibits the federal parliament frm encating laws establishing any relgiion, imposing any religious observance or prohibiting the free exercise of any religion. this right is protected under the QLD Anit-Discrimination Act 1991
explain right to trial by jury
Provided in section 80 of constitution. The right only applies to the more indictable offences that are heard in the supreme courts
