Virus enter epithelium though break in skin –> infects basal and parabasal cells –> replicates in nuclei
Cells mature up epithelium filled w/ HPV particles (infectious) –> virus assembly at surface cells
Virus uses host to replicate –> PAPILLOMA projections w/ heaped up cell growth
