Abyssinia (1935)
Italy invaded Abyssinia unprovoked. Italy was kicked out of the League for this.
Manchuria (1931)
Japan needed resources, so they created a plan to take over Manchuria. The league launched an investigation and kicked Japan out of the League.
Rhineland
The Rhineland was demilitarised, however, Germany decided to take it back, and the League could not enforce anything due to the lack of a military.
Spanish Civil War
The result of the Spanish Civil War proved to work against the League based on the conservative and nationalist views of the incoming governments to rebuild their respective countries.
Anschluss with Austria
Prohibited union of Austria and Germany. However, Austria and Germany made a union anyway. There was no physical penalty, just verbal.
The Munich Pact
Permitting the annexation of Sudetenland from Germany
World Disarmament Conference
Many countries wanted to rearm, including Germany. Shortly after the conference, Germany left the conference.
Lack of Army
Throughout the 1930s, the League could not enforce anything with a military because they did not have one.
League help to Manchuria
The League did not effectively help Manchuria because they did not want Japan to leave.
League help to Abyssinia
The League was upset with Italy, and essentially forced Italy out of the League.
Countries leaving
With the departure of Italy and Japan, the League looked very weak.
Trade sanctions
The only punishment the League could impose are trade sanctions

The world quickly realized that the League had no power, and were losing members quickly
