- Business opposition had little impact on FDR’s plan. FDR ignored their opposition, accusing them of ignoring the needs of the unemployed, and introduced the more left-wing Second New Deal in 1935:
Included the National Labor Relations which allowed all workers to join trade unions
Included the Social Security Act, which forced employers to make contributions towards worker’s pensions and benefits
